Ecoworldcraft is dedicated to transforming natural materials from nature’s lap into stunning hand-designed products that are not only durable but are also viable and eco-friendly. Our production process leverages technology to transform the goodness of mother earth into a sustainable and beautiful tomorrow for every one of us. Our products are crafted with personal care by local artisans and families from rural India. Our goal is to create practical and tasteful products inspired by nature, that accentuate our daily lives, comingling tradition and timeless artistic finesse with contemporary flare – all through sustainable and renewable production processes. Our core mission is sustenance – maintain ecological balance, provide economic opportunities for rural communities, and create high quality eco-friendly biodegradable alternatives to plastics.
We started out creating kitchen and dining accessories from the Water Hyacinth (eichhornia crassipes) – an aquatic plant that grows and proliferates rapidly in fresh-water bodies like ponds, lakes, and rivers, leading to various ecological and economic challenges. In many areas of the world, Water Hyacinth can be a hindrance to water transport with canals and freshwater rivers becoming impassable, sometimes leading to flooding. With it being an aquatic weed, it is also a natural micro-habitat for various disease-spreading organisms that can cause malaria, schistosomiasis, and lymphatic filariasis. On the economic side it can have a serious negative impact on the livelihood of rural fishermen: their nets and lines can get tangled in the root system and fish can disappear because water hyacinth elevates water temperatures.
After taking baby steps as a cottage industry manually harvesting Water Hyacinth to address the above challenges, we developed technologies that helped us utilize every part of the plant to create sustainable products. Our experience with Water Hyacinth led us to work with other natural fibers such as cotton and jute.
Today we have grown into an eco-focused organization with a mission to contribute to a sustainable environment in every way possible. From kitchen and dining accessories we have now expanded our range of bio-friendly products to artwork, furniture, office accessories, packaging, and apparels.

Our artists have their unique stories and share their struggles and success through their work.

We use technology to blend various natural fibers to develop unique innovative materials for our products.
